Activating Braintree Integration on Your Empress Platform

Getting Started

To start setting up your Braintree integration, head over to your Empress dashboard and follow this path:

Explore > Integrations > Braintree Settings

Inputting Braintree Parameters

To activate Braintree, you’ll need to fill in these parameters:

  • Merchant ID
  • Public Key
  • Private Key

These are your authentication credentials that connect your Empress account to Braintree, ensuring all transactions are secure. If your business has more than one Braintree payment gateway, you can set up each one. The gateway you choose will determine which Braintree account processes the payment.

Once you’ve activated Braintree, the system will automatically create a Payment Gateway record and an Account Head in your chart of accounts. These will both be set up as Bank accounts.

Creating a Payment Gateway Account

The system will also set up a payment gateway account for you. You can choose to modify the default bank account and create a template for the payment request if you prefer.

Once you’ve set up your payment gateway account, you’re all set to start accepting online payments through Braintree!

Your Empress and Braintree integration supports a wide variety of transaction currencies, giving you the flexibility to do business with customers all around the world.

The full list of supported currencies is extensive, including but not limited to: “AED”,“AUD”,“CAD”,“EUR”,“GBP”,“USD”, and many more.
