Introduction
The BOM Creator is a key feature in Empress that allows you to create and manage a Bill of Materials (BOM). A BOM is a comprehensive list of raw materials, components, assemblies, and other items needed to manufacture a product. It includes the item’s name, quantity, and unit of measure.
From a business perspective, the BOM Creator is an essential tool for manufacturing and production planning. It ensures you have all the necessary components on hand to produce a product, and it helps with cost estimation and inventory management.

-
Manage Costs: The feature lets you define the cost of each component based on its valuation rate, last purchase rate, price list, or a manually entered value.
