  3. Enter the Quantity of the finished product that the BOM should produce.

  4. Under the Items section, add each component needed for the finished product. For each item, you need to specify the item name, quantity, and unit of measure (UOM).

  5. Optionally, you can link the BOM to a specific Project.

Managing Costs

  1. Under the Costing section, select the method for defining the cost of each component. You can choose from:

    • Valuation Rate
    • Last Purchase Rate
    • Price List
    • Manual

  2. If you choose Price List, you’ll need to select the specific price list to use. The cost in the selected currency will be automatically calculated.

Managing Warehouses

  1. Under the Warehouse section, you can select the default source warehouse for each component. This is particularly useful for managing inventory.

Roles and Permissions

The BOM Creator can be accessed and managed by users with the Manufacturing Manager or Manufacturing User role. These users can create, read, write, submit, cancel, delete, and report on BOMs.
