Overview

As an Educational Sustainability Advocate, you will serve as a focal point for integrating sustainability practices into our community’s educational journey. You’ll create a synergy between education and long-term environmental, social, and economic well-being.

Key Objectives

  • To promote the adoption of sustainability practices in educational programs and initiatives.
  • To contribute to a community culture that values sustainability as a core educational principle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the inclusion of sustainability topics in educational content.
  • Collaborate with Curriculum Designers, Educational Technologists, and other roles to weave sustainability concepts into existing programs.
  • Help implement sustainability initiatives that impact both the learning environment and the community at large.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Interest or background in sustainability, education, or both.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate the importance of sustainability within an educational context.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and individuals from different disciplines.

Collaboration & Interaction

  • Coordinate with Curriculum Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and other community members to identify and act on sustainability opportunities.
  • Work closely with community leaders to align sustainability practices with the community’s overall strategy and mission.

Performance Metrics

  • Number of sustainability initiatives successfully implemented.
  • Levels of community engagement and participation in sustainability efforts.
  • Positive impact on educational programs as measured by KPIs specific to sustainability.
