As an Educational Sustainability Advocate, you will serve as a focal point for integrating sustainability practices into our community’s educational journey. You’ll create a synergy between education and long-term environmental, social, and economic well-being.
Key Objectives
- To promote the adoption of sustainability practices in educational programs and initiatives.
- To contribute to a community culture that values sustainability as a core educational principle.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for the inclusion of sustainability topics in educational content.
- Collaborate with Curriculum Designers, Educational Technologists, and other roles to weave sustainability concepts into existing programs.
- Help implement sustainability initiatives that impact both the learning environment and the community at large.
Skills and Qualifications
- Interest or background in sustainability, education, or both.
- Strong communication skills to articulate the importance of sustainability within an educational context.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and individuals from different disciplines.
Collaboration & Interaction
- Coordinate with Curriculum Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and other community members to identify and act on sustainability opportunities.
- Work closely with community leaders to align sustainability practices with the community’s overall strategy and mission.
Performance Metrics
- Number of sustainability initiatives successfully implemented.
- Levels of community engagement and participation in sustainability efforts.
- Positive impact on educational programs as measured by KPIs specific to sustainability.
