Introduction

Empress’s Batch Management Feature is a powerful tool that allows you to manage your inventory in an organized and systematic manner. Getting Started
To access the Batch Management Feature, navigate to the Stock module and select Batch.
Creating a New Batch
- Click on the New button to create a new Batch entry.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Batch ID: A unique identifier for the batch.
- Item: The name of the item in the batch.
- Manufacturing Date: The date when the batch was manufactured.
- Expiry Date: The date when the batch will expire.
- Batch Quantity: The quantity of items in the batch.
- Click Save to create the new batch.
Viewing and Editing Batches
To view and edit existing batches, simply click on the desired Batch ID in the list. This will open the batch entry where you can view all details and edit as necessary. Remember to click Save after making any changes.
Sorting Batches
You can sort batches based on any field by clicking on the column header. For example, you can sort batches by manufacturing date to see which batches were produced first, or by expiry date to prioritize selling older stock.
Tracking Batch Information
You can track changes to each batch by enabling the Track Changes option. This will keep a record of every change made to the batch including the user who made the change and the time the change was made.
User Roles and Permissions
Batch Management supports multiple user roles such as Item Manager. Users with this role can create, read, update, and delete batch entries. Permissions can be configured to suit your business needs.
