The Subcontracting BOM allows you to define and track the materials (finished goods) and services that are subcontracted out. It also provides a clear and organized list of materials and services, which can be essential for inventory management, production planning, and cost analysis.
Getting Started
To access the Subcontracting BOM feature:
- Log in to your Empress account.
- Navigate to the Subcontracting module from the main menu.
- Select Subcontracting BOM from the dropdown list.
Viewing and Sorting Subcontracting BOMs
On the Subcontracting BOM page, you will see a list of all your existing BOMs.
- To view details of a BOM, click on the BOM entry.
- You can sort the BOMs by clicking on column headers.
Each BOM includes the following fields:
- Finished Good: The item that is produced by the subcontractor.
- Finished Good Qty: The quantity of the finished good.
- Finished Good UOM: The unit of measure for the finished good.
- Service Item: The service provided by the subcontractor.
- Service Item Qty: The quantity of the service item.
- Service Item UOM: The unit of measure for the service item.
- Conversion Factor: The ratio of Service Item Qty to Finished Good Qty.
Creating a New Subcontracting BOM
To create a new Subcontracting BOM:
- Click on the New button on the top right of the Subcontracting BOM page.
- Fill in the necessary fields in the form. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
- Click Save to store the new BOM.
Editing a Subcontracting BOM
To edit a Subcontracting BOM:
- Select the BOM you wish to edit from the list.
- Click on the Edit button on the top right of the BOM detail page.
- Make the necessary changes in the form.
- Click Save to store the changes.
User Roles and Permissions
The Subcontracting BOM feature is accessible to users with the System Manager role. They have full permissions to create, read, write, delete, print, export, report, email, and share Subcontracting BOMs.
