Efficiently Managing Sales Persons with Empress Features

Introduction

Welcome to this comprehensive guide for managing Sales Persons in sales transactions using Empress. This feature is crucial for businesses as it helps in tracking, managing, and attributing sales to the right person, thereby ensuring fairness and accountability in your sales operations.

What is a Sales Person in Empress?

A Sales Person in Empress is an individual who directly interacts with customers to sell products or services. In Empress, the Sales Person is selectable in all sales transactions and their details can be updated in the Customer master. This means that when a customer is selected in transactions, the Sales Person’s details as updated in the Customer master will be fetched into the sales transaction.

Setting Sales Person Contribution

There may be instances where multiple sales persons work together on an order. In such cases, Empress allows you to set a contribution percentage for each Sales Person. This helps in accurately distributing the credit of the sale among all the sales persons involved.

When the transaction is saved, Empress automatically calculates the Contribution to Net Total for each Sales Person based on their respective contributions (%) and the Net Total of the sale. Please note that the total contribution percentage for all Sales Persons must add up to 100%. If only one Sales Person is involved, their contribution will be 100%.

Accessing Sales Person Transaction Report

You can easily access a Sales Person’s transaction report from the Empress dashboard. Simply navigate to Selling > Standard Reports > Sales Person-wise Transaction Summary. This report gives you a detailed overview of the total amount of sales made by a particular Sales Person, based on Sales Order, Delivery Note, and Sales Invoice.

Managing Sales Person Commission

If your business offers commission to Sales Persons, Empress provides a straightforward way to manage this. You can add Sales Persons as Sales Partners and define a Commission (%) for them. Once a Sales Partner is selected in a sales transaction, the Commission Amount is automatically calculated based on the Net Total.

To view a Sales Partner’s commission report, simply navigate to Accounts > Standard Reports > Sales Partners Commission.

Conclusion

Managing sales persons in Empress is a breeze thanks to these user-friendly features and tools. Whether you have a team of sales persons or a single sales person, Empress has got you covered, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency in your sales operations.
