Introduction to Repost Item Valuation

The Repost Item Valuation feature plays a vital role in your inventory management. It allows you to update the valuation of items in your inventory based on existing transactions or on specific items and warehouses. This feature is particularly important for businesses that need to maintain accurate values of their inventory for accounting and reporting purposes.

How to Use the Repost Item Valuation Feature

  1. Navigate to the Repost Item Valuation screen: From your Empress dashboard, navigate to the Repost Item Valuation screen.

  2. Choose your Basis: You will see a field labeled Based On. This dropdown allows you to choose whether you want to repost item valuations based on Transaction or on Item and Warehouse.

  3. Enter the Required Information: Depending on your choice in step 2, you’ll need to fill out different fields:

    • If you chose Transaction, you’ll need to fill out the Voucher Type and Voucher No fields.

    • If you chose Item and Warehouse, you’ll need to fill out the Item Code and Warehouse fields.

  4. Check the Reposting Status: Once you’ve submitted the repost, you can check the Status field to see the progress. It will show as In Progress while the repost is happening, and will change to Completed once it’s done.

User Roles and Permissions

The Repost Item Valuation feature is accessible to the following user roles:

  • System Manager
  • Stock Manager
  • Accounts Manager

These users have full permissions to create, read, write, submit, and delete repost item valuations, ensuring seamless inventory management.
