Introduction

The Asset Movement feature in Empress is a business-friendly tool designed to manage and monitor the movement of your organization’s assets. Whether it’s transferring assets between locations, issuing them to employees, or receiving them back, Asset Movement simplifies these processes.

Steps to Create an Asset Movement Entry

Creating a new Asset Movement entry is straightforward. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the Asset Movement list and click on New.
  2. Choose your Purpose from the dropdown menu. You can select Transfer, Issue, or Receipt. The necessary fields will change based on your selection.
  3. Select a Date for the asset movement.
  4. Identify the Assets to be moved. The current Location / Custodian will be automatically fetched.
  5. If you wish, pick a Reference Document Type.
  6. If you wish, choose a Reference Document Name.
  7. Click on Save.
  8. To finalize the asset movement, click on Submit.

Moving a group of assets? No problem, simply go to the Asset List, pick the assets to be moved, and click on Make Asset Movement from the Actions menu on the top left.

You can also initiate an Asset Movement directly from the Asset Form. Just select the Transfer Asset option from the Manage dropdown menu on the top right of the form. This will automatically fill in the available fields from the Asset Form.
