Feature Name: Flexible Benefits

Step 1: Configuring the Salary Component

The first step in setting up flexible benefits is to configure the Salary Component. To do this:

  1. Navigate to the Salary Component for which you want to set flexible benefits.
  2. Select the “Is Flexible Benefit” checkbox. This will define this benefit as flexible.
  3. Input the Yearly Max. Benefit Amount. This is the maximum benefit an employee can claim within a year.
  4. Check the “Pay Against Benefit Claim” box. This allows employees to avail the flexible benefits via a Benefit Claim.

Step 2: Setting up the Salary Structure

After configuring the Salary Component, you’ll need to set up the Salary Structure. To do this:

  1. Set the Amount to 0 for the Salary Structure.
