Effortlessly Send Emails with PDF Attachments in Empress

Introduction

Empress provides a simple and efficient way for you to send any document via email, complete with a PDF attachment. This feature is a major asset in the business world where communication and document sharing are key.

What is this feature?

The Send Email from any Document feature in Empress allows you to send an email directly from any document, with the document itself attached as a PDF. This feature is highly practical and can save you a lot of time, especially when you need to share documents with colleagues, clients or partners.

How to use the feature?

To use this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Open any document.
  2. Navigate to Menu > Email.

Note: To send emails successfully, you must have outgoing Email Accounts set up.

When you click on send, the email will be added to the email queue. Its status will be marked as Sending until it is successfully Sent. The status of each email is displayed in the queue. If an email fails to send, you can attempt to resend it by clicking on Send Now.

Email Options

When sending an Email, you have several customization options:

  • TO: This field is for the recipients of the email.
  • From: If you have access to multiple outgoing email accounts, you can select which one to use here.
  • CC: This field is for Carbon Copies of the email.
  • BCC: Blind Carbon Copies function similarly to CCs, but other recipients cannot see that the mail was also sent to the BCC recipients.
  • Email Template: You can set a Default Email Template through Customize Form.
  • Send me a copy: By checking this box, a copy of the email will be sent to your own email address.
  • Send Read Receipt: If you check this box, you’ll receive a notification when the email is read.
  • Attach Document Print: This option allows you to attach the PDF of the document.
  • Select Attachments: If you need to add any additional attachments, you can do so here.

On the print screen, you will find two additional fields:

  • Select Print Format: This field determines the print format of the document.
  • Select Languages: Here, you can select the language in which the PDF will be generated.
