Overview
As an Initial Outreach Specialist, your role is to be the first point of contact for newcomers, giving them a warm and insightful introduction to the community. Your efforts will set the tone for their experience and offer a taste of the transformative education and engagement that defines our community.
Key Objectives
- Establish and maintain the initial touchpoints for community entrants.
- Assist new members in navigating the community resources and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for new community members, offering a warm welcome and initial guidance.
- Provide information about the community’s mission, projects, and how new members can get involved.
- Work collaboratively to create and distribute “welcome packets” or introductory materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with the community’s core values and objectives.
Collaboration & Interaction
- Coordinate with Values Explorers to ensure new members are introduced to the community’s core principles.
- Interact with Engagement Strategists and other roles to fine-tune the outreach process.
Performance Metrics
- The rate of conversion from initial contact to active community involvement.
- Quality of new member onboarding experience, as measured through feedback and surveys.

Time Commitment
