Finding Your Way to Accounting Dimension Filters

To begin with, let’s locate the Accounting Dimension Filter. Follow these easy steps:

  1. Start from your Empress Home screen.
  2. Click on Accounting.
  3. Then click on Accounting Dimension Filters.

Creating an Accounting Dimension Filter

Let’s now guide you through creating an Accounting Dimension Filter. Here are the steps:

  1. Once you are on the Accounting Dimension Filter list, click on New.
  2. Choose the Accounting Dimension where you would like to apply a restriction.
  3. In the Allow Or Restrict field, select either Allow or Restrict to set your desired type of restriction.
  4. Specify the accounts where you want the restriction to apply in the Accounts table. If you want to make the accounting dimension mandatory for any specific account, simply check the Is Mandatory box.
  5. Lastly, add the dimension values in the Dimensions table that you want to allow or restrict for the chosen accounts.
