Introduction

In Empress, user roles and permissions determine who can access and edit the Production Planning Report. The access is typically granted to the roles of Manufacturing Manager and Manufacturing User. However, the System Manager has the authority to customize these roles and permissions as per the organization’s needs.

How to Use the Report

To generate the Production Planning Report, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Home > Manufacturing > Reports > Production Planning Report.
  2. Set the ‘Based On’ filter to either Sales Order, Work Order, or Material Request.
  3. Click on Get Items to generate the report.

The report will show all the finished goods and raw materials required for the selected orders. Unavailable items will be highlighted in red. This information can then be used to plan the production and procurement processes.
