The Restaurant Order Entry feature allows your restaurant’s waitstaff to easily input, edit, and manage orders associated with individual tables, directly from the Empress user interface. This is your go-to hub for everything related to order management.

Placing Orders

When a customer places an order:

  1. Select the relevant table number in the interface.
  2. Add the selected items to the Order Entry.

The beauty of this feature is its flexibility. You can freely make changes to an order up until it’s time to generate the bill. As long as you haven’t billed a table, you can adjust the items, and these changes will automatically show up the next time you select the table ID.

To record an order:

  1. Simply select an item.
  2. Hit the Enter key.

Your order is immediately updated in the system. Empress also offers a Point of Sale (POS) style item selector for an even more streamlined order entry process.

Billing Process

When it’s time to generate a bill:

  1. Select the ‘Bill’ option.
  2. Choose the customer and the preferred mode of payment.

Upon saving, a Sales Invoice is automatically generated, and the order section is reset, ready for the next order.

Once the Sales Invoice is generated, you’re ready to provide the customer with their bill. To print the invoice:

  1. Click on the ‘Invoice Link’.
  2. Initiate the Print command.
