Welcome to this guide! Here, we will guide you through the Workstation Working Hour feature in Empress, a powerful tool for managing your business operations. This feature is a part of Empress’s Manufacturing module and is designed to help you define, track and manage working hours for workstations in your company.
What is Workstation Working Hour?
In the context of a manufacturing business, a Workstation is a place where a specific task or a group of tasks is performed. The Workstation Working Hour feature allows you to set and manage the working hours for each of these workstations, helping you to plan and optimize your production processes.
Accessing the Workstation Working Hour Feature
- Log into your Empress account.
- Click on the Manufacturing module.
- Locate and click on Workstation Working Hour.
Once you’re in the Workstation Working Hour interface, you’ll find two primary fields:
- Start Time: The time when the workstation begins operation.
- End Time: The time when the workstation ends operation.
These fields allow you to define the operating hours for each workstation.
Setting Workstation Working Hours
- Click on the Start Time field and select the time you want the workstation to start operating.
- Click on the End Time field and select the time you want the workstation to stop operating.
Additionally, there is a checkbox labeled Enabled. By default, this is checked. Unchecking this box means the workstation will not be considered in the manufacturing process.
Tracking Workstation Working Hours
Empress’s Workstation Working Hour feature allows you to easily track the operating hours for each workstation. This information can be crucial for improving your production planning and overall operational efficiency.
User Roles and Permissions
Empress offers comprehensive role-based access control. Only users with appropriate permissions can access and modify the Workstation Working Hour settings.
