This is particularly useful in situations where your primary product is out of stock or discontinued, enabling you to offer customers an alternative without interrupting your sales process.
Main Functions and Benefits

Link Similar Items: You can link one item to another as an alternative, useful for managing stock and informing customers about similar products.

Two-Way Linking: The Two-way checkbox allows you to establish a reciprocal link between the two items, meaning if Item A is an alternative for Item B, Item B will also be an alternative for Item A.

Item Code and Item Name: These fields display the codes and names of your original item and its alternative. These fields are read-only and auto-filled based on the items you selected.
How to Use the Item Alternative Feature

Viewing Item Alternatives: To view your item alternatives, navigate to the ‘Stock’ module and select ‘Item Alternative’.

Adding an Item Alternative: Click the ‘New’ button to create a new item alternative. In the ‘Item Code’ field, select the original item for which you want to assign an alternative. In the ‘Alternative Item Code’ field, select the item that will serve as the alternative. If you want the link to be reciprocal, check the ‘Two-Way’ box.

Editing an Item Alternative: To edit an existing item alternative, select the item from the list. You can change the ‘Alternative Item Code’ or the ‘Two-Way’ status. Remember to save your changes.

Sorting Item Alternatives: You can sort your list of item alternatives based on ‘Item Code’, ‘Alternative Item Code’, or ‘Two-Way’ status by clicking on the respective column header.
