What is the Employee Transfer Feature?

The Employee Transfer feature in Empress is designed to help you manage and record internal job changes of your employees. Whether an employee is switching departments or even moving to a different company within your corporate group, this feature ensures all changes are accurately recorded and managed.

Accessing Employee Transfer

To start using this feature, navigate through your Empress dashboard using the following path:

Human Resources > Employee Lifecycle > Employee Transfer

Before you proceed, make sure you have an existing Employee profile and a defined Department ready for the transfer.

How to Use the Employee Transfer Feature

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create an Employee Transfer:

  1. Choose the Employee you want to transfer.
  2. Pick the Transfer Date, which will be the effective date of the transfer.
  3. Select the New Company if the employee will be moving to a different company within your organization. This step is not mandatory and is only necessary if the transfer involves a change of company.
  4. In the Employee Transfer Details section, choose the Property and specify the Current and New value. This section is for detailing the changes that will occur due to the transfer.
  5. Optionally, you can tick the ‘Create New Employee’ checkbox if you want to generate a new Employee ID for the transferred employee.

Note: If you check the ‘Create New Employee ID’ box, a new Employee profile will be created based on the changes specified in the Transfer Details section. The existing Employee profile will be marked as relieved.

Note: The Employee Transfer record can be finalized on or after the Transfer Date. Once confirmed, all changes specified in the Transfer Details section will be applied to the Employee’s record.
