Using the Journal Entry Template Feature
Creating a New Template
- Navigate to the Journal Entry Template creation page.
- Click on the
Newbutton. - Fill in the necessary fields like
Template Title,Voucher Type,Company, andAccounts. - Click
Saveto create your new template.
Viewing and Editing Templates
- Navigate to the Journal Entry Template page.
- Select the template you wish to view or edit from the list.
- To edit, make the necessary changes and click
Save.
Sorting Templates
- Navigate to the Journal Entry Template page.
- Click on the
Sortbutton. - Select the parameter you wish to sort by from the dropdown menu.
Tracking Changes
- Navigate to the Journal Entry Template page.
- Select the template you wish to track.
- Click on the
Historytab to view changes.
User Roles and Permissions
Different roles have different permissions in Empress:
- Accounts User: Can create, delete, read, write, email, export, print, report, and share Journal Entry Templates.
- Accounts Manager: Same permissions as Accounts User.
- Auditor: Can only email, export, print, read, report, and share Journal Entry Templates.
