Welcome to the Coupon Code Management feature in Empress. This feature is a powerful, user-friendly tool for managing promotional and gift card coupons in your business.

Whether you’re running a limited-time sale, offering special discounts to loyal customers, or issuing gift cards, the Coupon Code Management feature allows you to create, track, and manage all your coupon codes efficiently.

Key Functions and Benefits

  1. Creation of Coupon Codes: Easily create unique coupon codes for different promotional activities or gift cards.

  2. Coupon Validity: Set the validity period for each coupon to ensure they are used within a specific timeframe.

  3. Usage Tracking: Keep track of how many times each coupon has been used to inform future marketing strategies.

  4. Coupon Description: Provide a description for each coupon code to help your team understand its purpose and conditions.

  5. Role-Based Permissions: Empress allows you to set permissions based on user roles, ensuring only authorized personnel can create, edit, or delete coupon codes.

Using the Feature

Viewing Coupon Codes

To view your coupon codes, navigate to the Coupon Code section. Here, you can see all your existing coupon codes, their types (Promotional or Gift Card), validity period, and usage count.

Creating a New Coupon Code

  1. Click on the New button to create a new coupon code.
  2. Fill in the required fields such as Coupon Name, Coupon Type, and Pricing Rule.
  3. Set the Valid From and Valid Upto dates to determine the coupon’s validity period.
  4. Add a Coupon Description to provide more details about the coupon.
  5. Click Save to create the coupon code.

Editing a Coupon Code

Select the coupon code you want to edit, make the necessary changes, and click Save.

Sorting Coupon Codes

You can sort your coupon codes based on their creation or modification dates, types, validity, and usage.

Tracking Coupon Usage

The Used field under the Validity and Usage section allows you to track how many times a coupon has been used.

User Roles and Permissions

User roles like System Manager, Accounts User, Sales Manager, and Website Manager have full permissions to create, delete, email, export, print, read, and write coupon codes. However, you can customize these permissions as per your business needs.
