Getting Started

To take full advantage of Empress Shipping, you’ll first need to install the app on your site. You can find it on GitHub, the Empress Cloud Marketplace, or through your hosting platform.

Next, you’ll need to generate an API key for at least one of the integrated platforms.

Setting Up Packlink

  1. Create an account on Packlink PRO.
  2. Generate an API Key using their guide.
  3. Go to your Empress dashboard and search for Packlink.
  4. Enter your API Key in the Packlink DocType and ensure the ‘Enabled’ field is checked.
  5. Click ‘Save’.

Setting Up Sendcloud

  1. Sign up on Sendcloud.
  2. Generate a Public Key and a Secret Key following this guide.
  3. Go to your Empress dashboard and search for SendCloud.
  4. Enter your Public Key in the ‘API Key’ field and your Secret Key in the ‘API Secret’ field of the SendCloud DocType.
  5. Ensure the Enabled field is checked.
  6. Click ‘Save’.

Setting Up LetMeShip

  1. Register on LetMeShip.
  2. Generate an API ID and API Password following their guide.
  3. Go to your Empress dashboard and search for LetMeShip.
  4. Enter your API ID and API Password in the LetMeShip DocType and ensure the Enabled field is checked.
  5. Click ‘Save’.

Using Empress Shipping

Comparing Shipping Rates

Once a shipment is submitted, click the Fetch Shipping Rates button to view a list of services, their providers, and associated rates. You can also add your most-used services to your Preferred Services for quick access.

Creating Shipments

After comparing rates, choose a service by clicking Select. A shipment will be automatically created on the selected service provider’s platform. The Shipment Information section will update automatically. You can find your transaction on your service provider’s platform using the Shipment ID field.

Printing Labels

Once a Shipment ID is generated, you can print your shipping label by clicking the Print Shipping Label button.

You can also track your shipment’s status by selecting View > Track Status.
