Introduction

Effective communication is a critical component of any successful business project. That’s why Empress has developed a user-friendly feature designed to streamline this process: the Project Update. This tool allows you to effortlessly keep all project stakeholders in the loop with regular updates on project status.

Accessing the Project Update Feature

Getting to the Project Update feature in Empress is straightforward:

  • Navigate to: Home > Projects > Projects > Project Update

How to Create a Project Update

Maintaining transparency with your stakeholders is easy with the Project Update tool. Here’s how to create and share an update:

  1. Go to the Project Update List and click ‘New’.
  2. Type in the name of the Project that the update is for.
  3. Specify the Users who should receive the Project Update in the Child Table. This could be any relevant parties, such as your Customers or other Internal or External Stakeholders.
  4. Save and Submit your update.

Once submitted, an email containing the Project Update will be sent to all the selected stakeholders.

Adding More Details to Your Project Update

Sometimes, you might want to include additional details in your Project Update. Empress allows you to do this by expanding the Child Table where you listed the Users:

  1. If you’re introducing a new stakeholder, you can opt to send a Welcome Email to any specific User along with the Project Update.
  2. You can decide if a certain User should be able to see Attachments in the Project Update.
  3. You can provide further details on the current stage of the project in the ‘Project Status’ field.
