Part 1: Issue Types

Issue Types in Empress is a handy tool that allows you to categorize issues or tasks based on their nature. For instance, you might create Issue Types such as “Functional”, “Technical”, or “Hardware”. This means you can assign tasks to team members based on their areas of expertise, thereby enhancing your team’s efficiency and productivity.

How to Access the Issue Type List

To view the list of Issue Types, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Home page.
  2. From the Home page, select ‘Support’.
  3. Within the ‘Support’ menu, click on ‘Issues’.
  4. From the ‘Issues’ submenu, select ‘Issue Type’.

How to Create an Issue Type

Creating a new Issue Type is simple:

  1. Once you’re in the ‘Issue Type’ section, click on ‘New’.
  2. You will then be asked to input a name for the new Issue Type.
  3. If you wish, you can also add a description for further clarity.

Part 2: Issue Priority

Issue Priority is another important feature in Empress that helps you prioritize tasks based on their level of urgency. This can be especially useful when you’re creating a Service Level Agreement (SLA).
