As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you are the backbone of the community’s specialized knowledge. You bring in-depth insights, experience, and expertise in specific areas of education that are essential to the community’s mission.
Key Objectives
- To provide authoritative expertise on particular subjects within the educational scope of the community.
- To ensure that the content and resources available are accurate, effective, and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer specialized advice or guidance during the creation or curation of educational materials.
- Participate in community discussions, offering expert-level insight to solve complex problems or debates.
- Review, and if necessary, correct or improve existing educational content to maintain its quality and relevance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in a specific subject area or field.
- Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Peer-recognized qualifications or equivalent experience in the chosen subject matter.
Collaboration & Interaction
- Work closely with Curriculum Designers, Educational Sustainability experts, and Learning Guides to ensure a well-rounded educational experience.
- Be available for queries or consultations from community members eager to deepen their understanding of your subject.
Performance Metrics
- Accuracy and reliability of advice and content provided.
- Level of engagement in community discussions and educational projects.
- Contributions to enhancing the quality of the community’s educational resources.
